Elastic couplings are couplings capable of transmitting power between two shafts (e.g. motor/pump) while also compensating angular, axial or parallel misalignment. It is thanks to the elastic element of the coupling that compensation takes place, also guaranteeing absorption of vibrations and torsional overloads.
In this sense, the elastic coupling can significantly extend the service life of mechanical systems. These couplings do not require lubrication.
