FLUID COUPLINGS IN THE WESTCAR RANGE
The hydraulic (or fluid) coupling is a mechanical component designed to transmit torque from the driving part (Motor) to the driven part (Machine) with the sole help of oil (Force vector).
It is mainly made up of a driving part (Pump), a driven part (Turbine), a main shaft, and an alignment coupling or pulley at the exit point. In the industrial field, hydraulic (or fluid) couplings are used in devices that include rotating parts and are essential, especially in case of strong inertia at start-up, allowing the motor to start in a condition of almost no load.
