WESTCAR: past, present and future told by Fortunato Pezzimenti
The past
From the idea comes the project and in a short time Westcar takes shape, with the aim of designing, manufacturing and selling hydraulic couplings worldwide.
Both partners have an in-depth knowledge of the industrial power transmission sector: Fortunato has more technical and design experience while Marcello knows the markets perfectly, with a more business-oriented specialisation.
The symbiosis is therefore perfect and Westcar begins to design a new range of hydraulic couplings and related accessories (Rotofluid, Rotomac and Rotoflexi).
Over the years, the number of products, customers and countries served by the company grew.
The present
Today Westcar is able to offer the international market a complete range of hydraulic couplings, which also meet very different needs.
‘With the implementation of the Rotofluid CA family, for example,’ Fortunato explains, ‘we have included a coupling with an o-ring chamber and extended the sizes up to 120 P, and power of 4000 kW.
The future
For some years now, Westcar, solid and with consolidated results, has been strongly structuring itself for a generational change and further evolution.
"The sales force grows and the Rotogear family is added, so that in just three years we have doubled our turnover. We are finishing up with the construction of the new building, adjacent to the current headquarters, which, with its 600 square metres of space, will house new offices, technical and development areas.
Research and Development, which has always been fundamental for us, is also being further increased to accelerate the technological innovation of a proposal that we want to be not only in line with market demands, but pioneering."
